ADMINISTRATION
Volunteers assist with reception and office duties; volunteers with writing skills needed to help with agency newsletter, assisting in answering calls and investigations. Orientation provided. Weekdays 9:00 am - 5:00 pm; flexible hours. Request minimal commitment of 3-5 hours per week. High school, college-age, adults.
FAIR HOUSING ADVOCACY & ENFORCEMENT
Volunteers assist in answering questions or investigating unlawful housing discrimination. Specialized training provided. Good verbal & written skills and a respect for confidentiality required. Weekdays 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, occasionally weekends for investigations; flexible hours. Request minimal commitment of 3-5 hours per week. College-age, adults.
HOUSING COUNSELING FOR TENANTS & HOMEBUYERS
Volunteers assist in answering inquiries on basic housing issues such as tenant's rights or mortgage concerns, helping to prepare reports, data entry and mailings. Training & orientation on overall housing issues provided. Computer skills helpful. Weekdays 9:00 am - 5:00 pm; flexible hours. Request minimal commitment of 3- 5 hours per week. High school, college-age, adults.
MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS
Assist in LAN administration and website development/update. Flexible hours/ages (the more hours, the better), Weekdays 9:00am - 5:00pm. Agency is presently installing a local network and developing website. Anyone with specialized skills in assisting with these projects would be most welcome. Experience can be as simple as basic knowledge of Microsoft Publisher (and use of scanner), as well as individuals who have hands-on experience in network administration and website management/development.
