Long Island Housing Services Presents Two Free Fair Housing Zoom Trainings
April is Fair Housing Month!
Fair Lending 101: April 13, 2022 – 10:00am – 11:30am
Attendees will learn about the basics of federal fair lending laws, HMDA reporting requirements and the different forms of fair lending discrimination.
Guidance to Federal Financial Assistance Recipients Regarding Title VI Prohibition Against National Origin Discrimination Affecting Limited English Proficient Persons and Criminal History/Screening: April 27, 2022- 10:00am – 11:15am Title VI, Prohibition against National Origin Discrimination affecting Limited English Proficient Person requires Recipients of Federal Financial Assistance to take reasonable steps to make their Programs, Services, and Activities Accessible by Eligible Persons with Limited English Proficiency (LEP). Additionally, Fair Housing training will also include a brief discussion on Criminal History/screening.
