Please come party with us to celebrate bending the arc of history toward justice for the last 55 years. DJ Steezo is back from when he helped us dance the night away two years ago. The Savoy Ballroom was built for clubbing. And, of course, Ian insisted we end the night with another ice cream bar.

Long Island Housing Services, the not-for-profit, Civil Rights, Fair Housing agency serving Nassau and Suffolk is currently seeking conscientious people.

Testers are considered part-time, provisional employees.

Long Island Housing Services’ testers pose as ordinary persons seeking housing to observe the business practices of a housing provider in order to determine compliance with fair housing laws.

If hired for provisional employment, LIHS will pay Testers $24.00 hourly salary plus some mileage expenses.

Qualifications:
• Must attend a Fair Housing Tester training session
• Must be reliable
• Must have reliable transportation
• Willing to work in Nassau & Suffolk
• Ability to write a report and properly follow instructions
• Honesty and objectivity

Hiring Fair Housing Investigator!

The Fair Housing Investigator will be responsible for assisting in developing and implementing Long Island Housing Services’ fair housing enforcement activities in conjunction with other Fair Housing Program staff.  Experience in writing, interviewing, advocacy, investigations, public speaking, training and supervision is required.  Salary $53,000 plus benefits.
